The ultimate touring bike gets green light for 2009 production without featuring major technical or design changes. So it should have the same 1800cc six-cylinder engine, now fitted with HECS3 system for emissions reduction.
A true limousine on two wheels, the Gold Wing comes fitted with airbags, ABS, Comfort Package, heated seats and feet warmers, features without which any normal rider wouldn’t be able to pun the miles that this bike is capable of. Reverse gear and electronic suspension is simply more than a rider could dream of, but at 417 kg, these systems become absolutely necessary.
Instead, what will be new on next year’s Gold Wing are the Pewter Silver Metallic and Dark Blue Metallic color schemes. These are meant to further enhance visual attraction, but also to make the difference between the current model year and the future one.
