Last month’s end brought TDR Scooters the world record for a single cylinder 178 cc fully automatic twist and go scooter, at the Santa Pod Raceway (England), with an impressive 11.9037 at 108.27 mph for a quarter of a mile. Also, during that lucky day on May 30, the record was followed by an 11.9760 at 105.73 mph.

KTM offers an enduro two-stroke trainer under the 200 XC-W name that stands for an impressively build motorcycle, always happy to provide an extremely accurate impression of what smokers are capable nowadays.
While the engine can be compared with at least a 300 cc four-stroke one, the bike weighs only 208.99 pounds without fuel, standing out as a possible blast. So where does beginner friendliness stand in this scenario? That’s what we’re about to find out.
The qualifying round of the 250cc MotoGP race in Mugello saw Honda rider Raffaele de Rosa losing almost total control of his motorcycle after being thrown from the seat. We say almost because what looked like a serious crash transformed in one of the best motorcycle saves caught on tape in a while, if not THE best. The race rider remains calm, continuing to maneuver his bike after being hit two times in the chest and manages to get back on the seat after even missing the footrest once. Unbelievable!

According to MotoRevue, Kawasaki plans to revamp their Z 1000 streetfighter, which will be soon presented.
The bike is supposed to be powered by the latest ZX-10R engine, replacing the one developed from the much older ZX-9R. The extra horsepower and torque sure has to be celebrated with a radical, even sharper design and this rendering by Jérôme Vannesson shows just how the next generation model might look. We can only hope it will do so.
KTM has a two-stroke enduro alternative for each of their four-stroke model, so while the 250 XC-W is comparable to their 450 XC-W, what’s the 530 XC-W left with? The 300 XC-W, of course!

Panda Moto is a French Tuner that was inspired by last year’s Milan Show BMW hit, the Lo Rider, and decided to have its own approach towards the idea and yet remain faithful to the German brand. So it took a standard BMW R1200R and chopped up the rear end in order to achieve the radical look while bringing in a pair of lightweight, standard spoked wheels and Ohlins suspensions to support those. The steering geometry was altered to improve handling and a handcrafted exhaust is sure to make a screamer out of this beauty.
The Panda Moto R1200R weighs 217 kg, making for a pretty heavy piece of two-wheeled machinery. But, with prices ranging between 18,000 - 24,000 euros, weight is this bike’s last problem.

Getting as fast as possible to the scene of a fire can sometimes prove as challenging as extinguishing the actual fire. That is when a Firexpress BMW R1200RT comes in handy simply because of the extremely reduced dimensions compared to those of the fire brigade trucks.
Capable of carrying a modest (also compared to the big trucks) 13.2 gallons of water or foam, the system works by dispersing that quantity in microdroplets and so continues spraying for more than two minutes. The low-speed stream reaches as much as 15 feet while, fully loaded, the bike manages to achieve a top speed of 90 mph.
Several such BMWs are currently in use in Greece and the system is widely spread in the rest of Europe and in Asia, where it fits various big motorcycles and ATVs.

Ducati has reserved episode four of their Desmosedici Documentary to tires, which are provided by Bridgestone and are called Battlax BT- 01. Specially developed for the Ducati Desmosedici RR, the tires are the closest ones in production to those found on Ducati MotoGP bikes such Bridgestone Firestone Europe Product Manager, Guido Podevyn explains.
